Health & Safety Healthcheck/ Starter Package

Have you just started a new business, or have a well established small company. You will then be aware of how difficult it is to run your business at the same time as trying to keep abreast of all your legal responsibilities. In addition, with the culture of the current litigious society and authorities demanding more evidence of compliance, having the right documentation in place has never been more important.

We have therefore developed a Health and Safety Healthcheck/ ‘Starter’ Package for those organisations developing a health and safety system for their business for the first time. The package can also be used to support and add to the existing documentation of companies who have made some progress with H&S management systems.

Whats involved?

We do not have to visit site (which could be a costly and time-comsuming burden in some cases). You simply complete the Health and Safety Healthcheck questionnaire, which provides us with the necessary information to further tailor the package to your individual requirements. You will then receive the tailored package as a file of paper based documents or in electronic format as a disk of document files.

Whats included in the package ?

The ‘Starter’ package includes the following health and safety documents

  • A template for a health & safety policy
  • Employee declaration/ induction record format
  • Training recording form
  • Risk assessment format
  • Method statement format
  • Accident report forms
  • Accident investigation forms
  • Workplace Inspection format
  • Work equipment inspection
  • Contractor selection documentation
  • Young persons risk assessment format
  • New and expectant mothers risk assessment format
  • COSHH risk assessment form
  • Manual handling risk assessment form
  • Display screen equipment risk assessment form
  • Homeworkers/ Mobile staff risk assessment forms
  • Protective equipment issue records
  • Fire documents e.g. records of fire alarm tests, emergency lighting tests etc.



Cost of the Package: £175 + VAT.

All organisations, whatever their size must have access to a ‘Competent’ Adviser as required by regulation 7, of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. This package is intended to support your organisation in developing the necessary documentation to meet your health and safety obligations, however, it is not a subsitute for having a ‘Competent’ adviser.
